We are incredibly excited to kick off the new middle school boys' soccer season! The energy and talent at tryouts were outstanding, making the selection process one of the most competitive we’ve ever had. With 49 student-athletes giving their all over three days, the coaching staff had to make some very difficult decisions.
After an intense evaluation, we have finalized our squad. This team was built on more than just athletic ability and skill. We selected players who embody the spirit of a Hurricane: young men who demonstrate leadership, relentless effort, and true sportsmanship.
These qualities are the foundation of our program and are just as important as any goal scored. We are proud to have a team that will represent Glynn Middle School with character and integrity.

Kickin Up A Storm Soccer Fundraiser
To ensure our athletes have everything they need for a memorable and successful season, we are reaching out to our amazing parent community. We are very grateful for the support Glynn County provides with uniforms and basic equipment, but this doesn't cover all the elements that make a season truly special. Therefore, our fundraising goal for this season is $8,000. To help us achieve this, we are partnering with the organization schoolfundr.org to manage our campaign. This platform is a great tool that allows 97% of all profits raised to go directly to Glynn Middle School Soccer, with only 3% going to the organization for their assistance.
These essential funds will cover all the items not provided by the county, including: official player gear (like warm-ups, practice jerseys, and hoodies), extra training equipment, our end-of-season banquet and awards to celebrate the players' hard work, game-day snacks, and the assistant coach stipend. One of the absolute highlights of our program is the end-of-season banquet! This is a special night we dedicate to celebrating the incredible hard work, growth, and dedication of every single player and their families. It’s our chance to come together as a soccer community, share a meal, and reflect on the journey of the season, honoring the commitment shown by everyone involved.
During the banquet, we will of course recognize outstanding on-field achievements. We'll be presenting our Performance Awards 🏆 to players who have excelled in specific areas, such as Top Striker, Top Defender, and MVP, as well as those who have mastered key skills. This is our way of celebrating the technical skill, competitive drive, and athletic milestones our players have worked so hard to reach.
But just as importantly—if not more so—we want to honor the young men who embody the spirit and character of our program. That's why we are so proud of our C.A.N.E.S. Team Awards 🏆. These awards are the true heart of our program, as our core values are what make us Hurricanes. This is our most important recognition, honoring the players who live out these values daily—demonstrating true commitment, a positive attitude, next-level leadership, and inspiring sportsmanship that makes everyone around them better.
