RED TERROR SOCCER
Welcome to the 2025-2026 Red Terror Soccer parent meeting.
Our program is dedicated to developing young men of character, discipline, and integrity who represent Glynn Academy with pride. Our vision is to inspire excellence on and off the field, cultivating student-athletes who lead in the classroom, on the pitch, and in our community.
We believe soccer is a powerful tool for teaching teamwork, perseverance, and respect—lessons that will help our players thrive throughout their lives.
I. LEADERSHIP & VISION
Our program is built on the belief that soccer is a tool for teaching life lessons—accountability, resilience, and leadership—that help players thrive well beyond the pitch.
Coach Goya (Head Varsity Coach): Program Director; oversight of vision, fundraising, and external operations.
Coach Gavin (Varsity Assistant): Lead for varsity operations and tactical support.
Coach Bennett (JV Head Coach): Lead for JV development; program-wide coordinator for academics, discipline, and attendance. (Note: All absences must be emailed here).
Coach Buck (JV Assistant): Defensive specialist and practice management.
Coach Lobos (JV & Keeper Coach): Goalkeeping specialist and technical support.
Coach Ike (Keeper Coach): Goalkeeping specialist and staff support.
To develop well-rounded young men through a culture of hard work, discipline, and respect, inspiring them to be leaders in the classroom, on the pitch, and in the community.
II. THE IDENTITY: LIVING THE CREST
The "Crest" is our foundation of Integrity and Discipline. We define our identity through actionable commitments:
BROTHERHOOD: "I will be the first person to pick up a teammate when they fall rather than pointing a finger. I will check on my teammates' grades to ensure no Red Terror is left behind."
EXCELLENCE: "I will treat every warmup drill with the same intensity as a state final. I do not cut corners."
DOMINANCE: "I will lead by my actions, being the loudest communicator on the field and the most respectful student in the halls."
HARD WORK: "I will win the ‘mental battle’ when I’m tired, choosing to sprint back on defense even in the 80th minute."
THE MINDSET: "I will carry myself with the confidence of a champion, regardless of the score or the opponent."
III. ACADEMIC & CONDUCT STANDARDS
"Student" always comes before "Athlete." A Red Terror represents the Crest in every seat of every classroom.
1st Complaint: 15 minutes of "X-Sprints" after practice.
2nd Complaint: Benched for the full duration of the next match.
3rd Complaint: Permanent removal from the team.
Zero Tolerance: Use of vapes, alcohol, or drugs is a direct violation of the Crest. It results in team suspension and an automatic 30-day school extracurricular "sit-out."
Professionalism: Zero talking to referees. Only Captains and Coaches address officials.
Suspensions: ISS results in being benched for the next match; OSS results in immediate removal.
IV. TRAINING & COMMITMENT
Punctuality: Practice starts at 3:40 PM. Late arrivals result in "X-Sprints" for every minute missed.
Weight Training: Mondays and Wednesdays (7:00 AM – 8:00 AM). Doors lock at 7:05 AM.
Boot Camp: A mandatory 10-day period designed to build "100-minute players."
Mindset Training: 3 Peaks Performance - 4 total meetings.
Practice Kits: Official Red Terror kits must be worn, clean, and tucked in. Shin guards are mandatory for all live play.
V. 2026 TOURNAMENTS & GEAR
We provide a premier environment for our athletes. This year, every player receives:
Gear: 2 Practice Jerseys, 1 Nike Jersey, and 1 Team Hoodie.
Tech: Hudl Camera analysis and Livestreaming for all home matches.
JV (Acworth, GA): 3 Days (Fri–Sun) | Lodging: Lakepoint Cabin. >> JV Sign-Up Genius
Varsity (Charleston, SC): 4 Days (Thu–Sun) | Lodging: East Island Home. >> Varsity Sign-Up Genius
VI. COMMUNICATION & PARENT ROLES
The 24-Hour Rule: Please wait 24 hours after a match before contacting a coach to allow for a "cool down" period.
The Chain of Command: Players should advocate for themselves by speaking to their coach first regarding playing time or roles.
Sideline Conduct: No coaching from the stands. Model positive sportsmanship for the athletes and officials.

VII. SUPPORTING THE LEGACY (FUNDRAISING)
The Glynn Academy Red Terrors Boys Soccer program is excited to launch our annual fundraising campaign to support our student-athletes throughout the upcoming season. While we are grateful for the continued support provided by Glynn County Athletics, community donations play a vital role in helping us meet the full needs of our program and ensure every player has the opportunity to succeed.
Your generous contribution directly impacts our team by helping fund essential equipment and high-quality gear, travel expenses for competitive tournaments, coaching education and development, and meaningful team-building experiences that strengthen our program. These resources not only enhance performance on the field, but also help our athletes grow in discipline, leadersip, and character off the field.
Schoolfundr: Our direct donation campaign: app.schoolfundr.org/fund/glynnacademyboyssoccer.
Terror Backer ($50): Includes a car decal, website recognition, and a free "Future Terrors Clinic" entry for your child (K-8).
